I transform leaders and teams through energetic, persistent, passionate, and courageous coaching, consulting, and training. My services mirror my knowledge, inspiration, confidence, and steadfastness in creating a unique learning and growth environment. I vigorously ensure my clients are provided the necessary tools, resources, and information to dauntlessly succeed to today’s world, professionally and personally. My clients are highly motivated leaders and teams striving to create and enhance their definitions of success and achievement. All of my services are customized to achieve the specific leader and team’s needs and aspirations.
My skills are founded in nearly 40 years of experience as an accomplished leader in the U.S. Coast Guard, higher education, and small business ownership. My demonstrated track record proves my ability to manage departments and organizations and deliver exceptional and timely results.
My varied professional background includes over twelve years in personnel management and human resources refining my skills such as promotions, retentions, terminations, job and organizational modeling, performance management, fair treatment and practices, and many other personnel policies and procedures. I have over 18 years’ experience, as a university faculty member and administrator emphasizing leadership development, business administration, and human resources. As a small business owner, I blend executive and leadership coaching with leadership consulting and training.
As a coach, consultant, and trainer, I have two simple philosophies and believe these philosophies are true for both leaders and teams. The first is focused on leadership and as stated by David Kelly, “fail faster to succeed sooner.” I believe powerful learning comes from failing. However, I don’t believe in failure. I believe if my clients are failing, they are learning and moving forward and their success and achievement will emanate. My next philosophy is focused on the relational-self. I believe coaching is also about my clients being a human being and not a human doing. Our society places so much emphasis on human doing that many of us have forgotten what it means to be a human being. I help my clients find their human being - a human being that is living an incredibly fulfilled and successful life in concert with those around them.
When you hire me, you will be hiring a recognized “people person” and “client success advocate” ready and willing to create challenging and rewarding learning and growth opportunities focused on the leaders’ and teams’ needs and aspirations.
